i have a citroen synergie- 2001 2.0 diesel hdi it has a few probs and i am interested in knowing if anyon ehas seen these b4

1- cooling fan seems to be on all the time -previous owner had wire from negtive terminal of battery to cooling fan relay in fusebox to keep it running so this problem seems to have been there for some time - anyway have changed coolant temp sensor to no avail

have checked relays in fuse box- under bonnet -all ok

have now checked 3 relays near fan all working ok

2- when last battery was dying a few weeks ago and temperature gauge went out of adjustment after a jump start

on start up it goes to the max three times then settles at zero and wont move off zero

on live diagnostic coolant temp rises as you drive to near normal-

does anyone know if the relays behind the glovebox are linked the fan also ?

3-outside temp gauge is faulty reading about 16degrees c too low - will this affect the performance of AC as its not great at the moment

any relevant info appreciated - my local garage are baffled

tks
