Zx 1.9td Overheating

Hi all, i have a P reg 1.9 TD ZX and it is overheating, have had it idling to over 100 degrees but not quite into the red but neither fan cuts in, i can't short the rad switch out i don't think as it has 3 connections not 2 like i would of expected due to the electronic control, could some one explain how i can either frig it or test it without dismantling the fan assembly, tia,
