Guest matt101 Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Hi I have just replaced the head unit in our C3 with a new Sony mex-bt3800. However, when the ignition is turned off, every 20 seconds or so a "click" comes from the fuses and "economy mode" flashes up on the dash - even when the stereo is switched off. The unit also loses station presets after this. I have read I need an adapter - is this true, and where can I get one? EDIT: It also caused the remote central locking to not work, so I have refitted the original stereo and everything works as it should again. Is this the sort of thing I need? Thanks for your help. Yes you do check what reg it is first as there is two adaptors for the c3 as with the C5 get one that works the remote as well this stops all the agro with the cars cpu Quote
iannez Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 the one shown is for a c4. even with the mod harness you will still need to run a ignition live from the fusebox to the set as the standard set does not use one. Quote
