Does this snow mode work for anyone, and how cold does it have to get, it has been as low as -3 and mine has never gone in snow mode yet not really that bothered as it could be a bit of a pain.

Yes snow mode really works, but it's not just about temperature it is also about wheel slip.

It can also be very dangerous as it usually cuts in at a junction or roundabout. You are sitting at the junction in 1st, you see it is clear to pull out, put your foot on the accelerator, the wheels spin the car beeps 3 times (to let you know it is going into snow mode) 2nd gear and auto mode are selected then the car moves, very slowly. If you do manage to pull out you will be moving very slowly as you are in 2nd gear.

So in cold and slippery conditions give yourself extra time (at least another 10 seconds more than usual) to pull out of a junction or onto a roundabout.

I think it must work like a cheap traction control then, I shall try to get it work next time it snows, the main thing that annoys me is you can not be sure what happens when you pull away from give way signs etc. sometimes moving of slowly in second others a delay while it changes down to 1st, not the best of things to happen at junctions, wished I had a normal auto sometimes.

When we had snow in Wales my C3 didn't go into snow mode either. But it only slipped on the ice once. What a brilliant car it got up all the hills where some cars was struggling.

I had to create another account my SAXOAUTO account wasen't working.
