Guest mitsil200 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hi,Hope I can get some help here as I am running out of ideas. Bought a Berligo recently, 2005 model, 2.0 hdi with aircon. Only to discover the heater/aircon blower not working. Further investigation found that the fuse 40amp! had been removed and discarded in the bottom of the fuse box. So I refitted it and hey presto! the fan worked only it would'nt turn off!. A little digging around told me that the resistor pack was faulty. I replaced this and guess what, no blower at all. So I fitted another resistor pack, still no joy!. So I can only assume it had 2 faults! I then removed the motor and put 12 volts straight into it and it works. Checked the supply to the motor, this seems ok aswell. I then connected the red supply cable direct to the motor, therefore bypassing the resistor pack. This worked, only when left on for a short while the wired got very hot. Has anyone any ideas what I can try next or indeed anybody experienced this before. Wiring diagrams seem very difficult to obtain so I'm stuck! CheersStan. Quote
zedhead Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I have a similar problem in that the heater fan only works on the highest of the settings, and none of the others. rather iritating as the highest setting is loud enough to permanently damage hearing... Quote
