Should I Buy A Citroen C8?

My wife's ancient Nissan Serena is off to the scrapyard shortly and we are looking for it's replacement. One strong candidate seems to be the Citroen C8, and we have a candidate lined up in the form of a 2005 2.2 SX 16v (8 seater).

 

I've just spent the last hour reading a lot of nightmare stories about engine management faults, pollution faults, faulty FAPs, etc, etc. Now I have to say I'm a little concerned. Having gone back through the really bad reviews many of them seem to be for 2003/2004 models, I can find very few reviews for 2005 models and they seem to be niggly (leaky sunroof) faults and the model we're looking at doesn't have one.

 

We're soon to be a family of six, so the space will be very welcome, my concern is that I don't want to buy a car that's going to spend all it's time in the garage soaking up my hard earned cash.

 

As a C8 owner past or present, would you recommend buying one?
