ataxidriver64 Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Hi it sounds like you need a new one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Citroen-C5-Heater-Control-Module-Resistor-AC-6441L2-/400158216152?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d2b49cfd8 it fits into the heater box in the drivers foot well behind the central console. Guest foxy2600 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 You have two options:1. eBay has the required black box at £56 quid plus postage - just put Citroen C5 Heater in and two or three companies sell the box. It's made by Valeo.2. Remove all drivers side (RHD) trim from around the clutch area and one footwell panel on the centre console. On the heater plenum you will see 6 wires going into a unit (Heater Module box) with two quick release plugs. Remove the plugs. Now undo the two retaining screws 8 mm heads I think. the unit is also retained in place by internal spring catch so just pull it cos it's knackered anyway. Now you have it in your hand you can remove the plastic cover over the circuit board. Taking a volt-meter set to Resistance/Ohms check for lack of continuity (open circuit on any of the two power feed pins or heater motor supply pins. Guaranteed it'll be one of those. Get it re-soldered and check continuity. Do not fit back in car until you have checked that the heater works again (IT WILL !!!) now carefully unplug it before re-inserting into the plenum - it is this that causes the break in the first place. Only re-plug in when it is back in the plenum. This fix is free!! Foxy Quote
