Richard,

Hi,

I am having same trouble with my C5 2005 model on boot lock. most probably it is happening with the damp weather conditions and if you have washed your car recently water or moist is causing the trouble. ı realized this problem with non working remote keys, ı needed to un plug the battery cables and let it un plugged for 5 mınutes and replugged it. and waithed 2 mınutes for ecu's to restart itself. ıt came back to normal but as soon as ıt rains problem is appearing again. I will visit citroen dealer next week for a general control. I will let them change the boot's switch.

I will write the results.

Thanks,

As what I did, I just open the tail gate, then take off the plastic inside the cover and reach the hole that gives access towards the lock. Look for the little arm that operates then release the trigger and pull it up and down. You'll see a nut on this arm, then adjust it up or down. On my case, the nut loosens sometime.

Not sure what you did but will have another look for the part you describe and see if I can do the same as you.
