Hi there,

berlingo van 59 plate

Need some help with wiring up a new JVC KDR311 stereo and sound system to my lingo.

Bought a wiring kit, and all the relevent adapters from halfords as other posts suggested, but once plugged in the stereo powers up for all of 3-5 seconds when pressed on then turns off. (Will not power up with ignition) The adapter looks like it has a red live wire left out, with the neutral and earth connected to the adapter. The halfords guy was saying it probably needs to be wired to a live ignition wire, and something about having to reset my immobiliser and unplug to battery for the van to register the new stereo.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
