Ecu Or Stepper

hi guys i have just got a 18 16v citroen est

now i am having probs with the car running fast stalling just like most ppl

now i know it may be the stepper so i went to get one but i was given the wrong one as it did not look like mine atall i was told i may need a peugeot part so i went to citroen dealer gave the my vin number and them guys did help at all the guys say we can order one it may be rong if it is we will need 20 persent of the cost of the stepper wich is 96 pound and we well try and get you the right one i thought d**k

i was also told it may be a ecu problem anyone help i would just like to know do i go to peugeot or citroen

well guys just an update it was the stepper and i got one off ebay

for only 28 pounds it was a gamble but worth it

the part did not have any numbers on it but with one or two e-mails i have it sorted now

so if you need any help just ask
