Remote Central Locking Not Working

Hi All,

 

Im new to the forum however have a Citreon Xsara Hdi 2002 model which I have owned for the past few months. I have tried following the instructions within the owners handbook and unfortunately this hasn't worked.

I took it into a Citreon garage to get the transponder code and get the keys synced up with the car however for some reason they couldn't do this.

When questioned they weren't couldn't commit where the problem lies. Firstly I was told the ignition has the issue so after challenging why they thought it I was told it could be the ECU.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be causing the issue?, as winter is coming so it would be nice to get it working.
