C2 Snowflake Symbol Displayed - Will Not Enaged In Gear.

Hi, I'm aware this is a known fault but has there been a fix for it??

 

The car - C2 1.4 auto drives fine then one day will not engage in any gear and the snowflake symbol appears on the dash?

I had to disconnect the battery for a few mins then it seemed to clear. This has happened twice now in a week.

 

If anyone know what causes this and what needs to be replaced I would greatly appreciate your advise.
