Guest claire8671 Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Hi thereCan anyone help me? I have a citroen c3 pluriel 2005 1.4 model. It has a fault where the car goes in to a limp mode every day and the engine warning light comes on. The garage I have taken it to run a diagnostic test,, found a fault on the throttle actuator, cut off a coroded terminal and soldered on a new one, and then carried out a road test. They thought it was fixed. However it is not and it has got worse. It is very dangerous because I have to turn off the engine, wait a couple of minutes and then switch it on again and it will run normally. They are trying to find a second hand throttle actuator now. Has anyone else had this problem? I am desperate to get it resolved. Can I buy a new throttle actuator - the garage says not. The engine does a little cough before it goes into limp mode. And trying to run the engine for a bit before setting off does not really help. Quote
