Guest Cazzaline12 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 My car seems to be one prob after another... As we have come into the snowy weather a new prob has cone about I went my car and it wouldn't start due to the immobiliser not working, don't know if it's the key or the car that's uncoded. A friend suggested that the cold may have drained battery and this giving the issue with the immobiliser? I am charging the battery just now, just wants a second opinion am at the end of my patience and bank acc with this car :( Quote
Guest angie23 Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I've got exactly the same problem! '54 plate c8. We had to dig it out of the snow only to find that it has an immobiliser fault. Took the battery off and re-charged it overnight. Put it back in but immobiliser fault is still there. One of the other forums has an older post that suggested taking the battery off, putting it back on, letting the car lock by itself and then opening it with the remote to re-set the system. Car doesn't seem to be automatically locking itself anymore though so it's not working... Any advice gratefully received, please :( Quote
Guest Cazzaline12 Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I also tried the key to lock car and it didn't wrk, but after Reading ur post I gave it another go and it worked. Thankyou for the post! You should give it another go like me as it seems more responsive mid day maybe it's to do with the temp? Quote
