Guest iandow Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 The rubber keys on my existing fob have split and I can only open the door now (on the passenger side!!!) with the key. I thought I could buy a new rubber pad to insert into the fob but the dealership have said I have to buy a complete key for around £150! Since I am out of work because of ill health I cannot afford this amount. Car breakers have told me they do not keep such small ancillary items since it is not worth their while. I have considered buyingh on Ebay but from reviews etc I see that many of these aftermarket fobs seem to give lots of problems and I conclude that they are a waste of time and money. Does anyone know where I can get a genuine replacement fob at a sensible price? thanks. Quote

Why not get a cheap rubber "shell" and insert your key into it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITROEN-C2-C3-C4-C5-C8-3-BUTTON-FLIP-UNCUT-KEY-FOB-CASE-/280603778960?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item415549df90> Quote
