Guest Ian Cleminshaw Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi Everyone, New to the forum, just collected my new Tourer last night & I'm very pleased with it. Superb car.I have my HTC Desire paired and the phone is working but I can't get the music to work. It’s a 2.0ltr HDI NAV+.I have found 'external source' setting but I'm guessing this is for the AV connectors in the glove box. What I find odd is that the dealer mentioned the C3 does music and phone. So do I have to buy a Parrot and waste the cars bluetooth??? Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.Ian Quote

If not then yeah your looking at fitting an additional kit (Parrot MKi9100 is a personal reccomendation, I fit handsfree kits amongst other things for a living). If your budget it tight another option would be a bluetooth FM Modulator, but it just means having something plugged in the 12v socket when you want to listen to music off your phone. Hope this is of some use Quote
Guest Sarto1965 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Hi Ian, am a newbie myself and have just bought the C5 2.0 Hdi VTR+Nav. I purchased the citroen USB box to use my ipod touch but learned today that this is not compatible with the myway stereo system so am having a parrot MKi9200 fitted instead. Hope that's been helpful. Kind regards Mark Quote
Guest Ian Cleminshaw Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Thanks for the replies. It would seem that the bluetooth is not there for the music side, yet the C3 does have it.So as far as I can see I need to install a Parrot kit but this will do my phone AND music. What a total waste of the inbuilt bluetooth of the car, now the phone button on the steering wheel etc is null and I'll have to have and extra screen and knob tacked onto the wheel and dash! This seem daft to me. Still happy with the car though :) Quote
