Xantia Body Work

Can anyone help with where i could lay my hands on xantia sill skins or what sill from another make or model of car would fit the xantia hatchback. Ive been told by several suppliers that only citroen can supply factory sills which means extensive cutting and welding of the body at great expense as the cars value isnt that great id prefer at this point in time to fit skins to keep the costs to a minimum rather than just patching the sills up leaving ugly patches along the sills.

Probably correct, only Citroen will supply genuine manufacturers original equipment.

 

You need a body or panel supply specialist such as this one from Stoke on Trent for example Body Specialist for non-genuine stuff, alternatively a trip to a scrap yard armed with an industrial sized tin opener and some carefully cutting out may yeild a pair of decent sills???

 

Don't know what quality metal is used by Citroen or even if it is Hi-tensile steel or not. That maybe the reason for having difficulties in obtaining them and if so you will also have the problem of getting them to weld to your vehicle. Specialised welding techniques and equipment/material may be required, not your average "stick" or MIG welder.
