Guest RobButterworth Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Hi,Just coming up to my 10K point on my C5, which in general I like very much. There are some lovely touches, like the one touch 'brief' indicator. However, I can't believe how poor the satnav is. Not only is it apparently missing 'new' roads that have been in place for many years, but it even thinks some footbridges are passable. Whilst it was very entertaining for my family to see me skid to a halt at the riverside at the bottom of a footbridge, it could have been somewhat less amusing had we ended up in the river! Has anyone managed to get anything useful out of Citroen about this? I know this is a 3rd party unit used by several European manufacturers, and alledgedly a dealership can update the maps, but the costs are quite shocking - £250 for a single update, when my TomTom (which my wife now brings when we go somewhere as she doesn't trust the C5 satnav) costs us £40 per year for 4 updates? Any suggestions? ThanksRob Quote
