Hi Guys, I'm new to this and I have just bought my first C3, its a 1.4 on a 56 plate. We have just had a lot of rain, about 30 hours worth non-stop, and I'm getting a pool of water in the drivers foot well, any suggestions as to where the leak could be and it does smell a bit musty. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Hi Titania,

My wife's 52 plate C3 had a leak on the passenger side and looking closely at the outside of the windscreen, it was clear that it was not properly fitted home.

I used a substance called Dum-Dum (it's like black plasticine, from a car accessory shop), rolled it into thin strips and forced it into the openining from the edge of the screen right to the middle. Smoothed the top off before ir sets and the leak was cured and it is not noticeable.

A windscreen co would no doubt be able to inject a line of mastic to achieve the same.

Best wishes,

Bob H.

Just a long shot here, have the door panel/trim been disturbed at all????

This happened on my Pug 306 when I took the panel off to access insides of door. Ripped the polythene sheeting off and binned it only to find out later that it is there to prevent ingress of water from the door. Water rained in through the door via window slides then took the short cut into the floorwell. While you are at it check the drain holes in the bottom of the doors to see if they are blocked.
