Is This The Worst C8 Ever Made?

I've got a 2003 C8 2.2 HDi with 65k miles on the clock.

In the 3 years I've had it the following have gone wrong -

  • Anti pollution fault (caused by cracked hose)
  • Sliding door stopped working
  • Clutch failed
  • Cam belt snapped

Fortunately they have all been covered by the warranty, however it runs out soon and I'm wondering what is likely to go wrong next?

Has anyone had a worse car? If so can you tell me what I might expect?

Cheers,

LB

i just bought a 2004 model and am delighted with the facilities and design of it. As regards the cambelt i do believe there was an issue with the cam belt not being covered properly. I understand that road water and dirt could then get on the belt and corrode those belts that had steel bands running through them. Not all cambelts are so made. I always get mine done every 50,000 mls regardless of what the manual says. Dont know about the sliding door but being an oldfashioned git its one item on the c8 that i view with anxiety for the future <_<
