Sounds like many of us have similar problems

My email is marathonbuild@blueyonder.co.uk

I had problems with rear doors from day one, the dealer adjusted them several times

Following little or no improvement they contacted Citroen uk technical help line (note they wont talk to me or you)

It turned out that the spec of the runners was wrong and would have to be replaced. this work is under warranty and you should ask your dealer to act on your behalf and chase the new parts.

The pinch setting on the rear doors was brutal when I first got the car but again a scream and shout finial found there is an adjuster and they are fine now.

watch for cracked door handles too

regards

I had problems with paint flakes coming off the runner boards for the electric doors. The rollers are metal and although the dealers replaced them I know that they will still wear into the paintwork in time.

As for door handles, I went in to get the driver handle replaced under warranty due to being damaged and I'm still waiting as I have been told that my 2.2sx 2004 requires all door handles to be replaced as an update???

Anyone in the know?

they replace all the door handles as the new ones are painted instead of metal plated to stop it happening again.

Can you send a photo of your replaced door handles. I've just had mine replaced and they seem to have cocked it up. The central section on the rear door can be pulled off by hand and it doesn't line up with the front door section as the previous ones did.

dont have a c8. i am a citroen tech and have fitted loads of these due to metal plating flaking. if the trim is coming off the clips are broken and it will need renewing and if the handles dont line up the same as the old ones there not fitted correctley. take it back to dealer and tell them to do it right.

ask to speak to service manager and show him what the problems are, not the muppets on reception as they are only there to book work in and have no idea about the product.

Tis now June 25th and I'm still waiting for my replacment door handles to be fixed. The car was in for it's 40k service two weeks ago and prior to putting the car in I checked to see if the handles were in stock. "Yes sir" was the reply and so booked it in. I picked up the car at 5 pm that day and yeah you got it!!! Both handles hadn't been touched. ;) Before I left with the car I had the service manager and warranty guy look at the car and both once again agreed that The handles were faulty and that the roof bars required replacement due to flaking. I just called them today to ask if the items had arrived and was asked what the problem was as nothing was on their system. I'm now sick to death of this outfit and once this finally comes to an end, will never deal with them again. There is another dealer south of where I live (25 miles approx) so they will get my future business.

I have just purchased a C8 but the off side electric sliding door closes and then jumps back a bit, you mentioned adjustment, where is this, also are there meant to be any safety measures as my daughter got her arm stuck in the door which continued to try to close.

thanks in advance
