flitwick Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 nomanual and after asking for it to be looked at at the dealer a real surprise can't find anything wrong :D also they could't test rear windscreen as demister faulty and told me to take it to autoglass so after coughing up for a service and new brakes i was't happy Quote
wozza Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 When you say the gear change is awful whats the actual problem crunching into gear or hard to get in gear? I had that 1.1 C3 the other day to drive and to be honest i thought the gearchange was crap on that wasnt difficult to get in gear just didnt feel like the C4 did. Probably cause its a curtesy car and been ragged to within an inch of its life since its been built though. But it wasnt that bad. Although i have to admit i did practice my clutch less gear changes a little. but i only crunched the box once. well its a curtesy car! But have you tried taking it to a different dealer? Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Is yours a diesel engine because I know they only do the 1.4i 16v in Sensodrive and the 1.4i 8v 75BHP in Manual or Automatic and a 1.4HDi 16v 92BHP Diesel Engine and a 1.4HDi 70BHP. Quote
flitwick Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 Its a1.4hdi 16v sx It gets tough to get into gear i drove a 1.1lx yesterday and found that the gearbox very light on that get back into my car and find it very stiff in comparisment Quote
Ventus pilot Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I have a C3 16v HDI. When the car is really warmed up it is stiff to move the gearlever across the gate and it doesn't return to the central position. Change from 5 to 4 is difficult. When the car is cold everything is fine.Been back twice under warranty and they have changed selector cables and selector bracket but no improvement. Anyone any ideas?? Quote
flitwick Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Have posted this before but the problems your having where the same as mine take it back in aparantly citroen have re designed the linkage and its made a real improvement on my c3 Problems start owing to part of the linkage was made of plastic and when hot gets out of shape causing probs :D Quote
