  1. I have 'cambus' side, tail and Daylight driving LEDS all installed and working correctly. I did have a problem witht he stop/tail bulbs and had to revert to the originals. The daylight driving LED's were purchased from LEDperf a french compony on the internet, they are nice an bright and hopefully will not need replacing for a long time( the original G4 tungsten bulbs in a fancy holder do not last long and you have to remove the bumper to install them).
  2. Hello Has anyone fitted the new Phillips LED headlamp bulbs to their 2010 on C5? I am considering it but am not sure if their is enough clearence between the bulb and the screw on headlamp buld housing covers. Mine is a 2010 3.0 litre V6 Hdi with the battery in the back so the replacement of the bulbs is relatively easy.
  3. Update - My garage discovered that the recall software update performed on my car in 2011 by a main agent was not completed properly and that there was a partial failure to install the 'fuel metering' module. This was corrected and the cvar feels much smother but the problem has not entirely dissapeared albeit less frequent. The temperature is now well below the threshold (18C) so I will have to wait for the Spring/summer to return to the issue, I might get a solution by the time the car is worn out!
  4. Still got the problem and the Citroen main agent never contacted me, not that they would have been any use anyway! I have tried Injector cleaners and switching to V-Power diesel but this had no effect./ They next step is too expensive to contemplate for such a minor fault. Taking out the injectors checking and or replacing them. I think I had better live with the problem and part exchange the car in the winter when the misfire never occurs!
  5. Further to my problem - Citroen UK have so far been totally unhelpful regarding this issue so I posted it on their Facebook page. I got an almost immeadiate response requesting further information and my contact details - I can only live in hope that they might be more helpful this time around!
  6. Unfortunately, The EGR was NOT the problem. I spent £1100 and when the temperature rose above 18C again today the hesitation/missfire returned. I am stumped! The only other problem thrown up by the garage tests was one injector with a slightly raised resistance but the injection pattern read out was spot on. Has anyone got any idea what is causing this? Could the auto box be causing these symtoms?
  7. My Garage did repeated diagnostics and in some of them an air flow outside (above and below) notification appeared in the deep log, no fault registered. I finally took the car into the garage and they pulled it apart and tested each component that might have caused the problem. Both MAF valves were OK, injectors OK, Turbos OK but the front EGR valve resistance reading was outside of parameters. The EGR valve like most Citroen parts was around £600 so it was with some trepidation that I agreed to have it replaced (cost with all the other work around (£1100). Collected the car yesterday and I think the problem is finally resolved. I cant be totally sure until the outside temperature rises into the 20's bu there was always a slight flat spot/tipping point at low revs and low load prior to the brief missfire/hesitation. This has gone and the car feels very smooth at low speed. I am keeping my fingers crossed until warmer weather arrives!!
  8. I have had the car into my Citroen specialist garage (not a main agent) and they have done repeated diagnostics without finding any fault. Just a couple of days ago I took it to a Citroen Manin Dealer for a diagnostic and to check the firmware and they could find no fault. Furthermore they said that there were no air temperature sensors in the engine management system. This leaves me completely flumouxed. I am inclined to think it might be a marginal fault in the MAF but I could spend a lot of money 'shooting in the dark' and still not resolve the problem. I suppose the C5 3.0 litre Hdi is a rare beast but has no one else experienced this problem?
  9. Hello Has anyone come accross this problem? I have had numerous diagnostic readouts done and there is never a fault registered but in the 'deep log their are numerous transient and non related faults found. The car is currently working like clockwork and is everything you would expect of the engine but when the outside air temperature is above 18C I get an occasional 'miss' when the engine revs are about 1200-1500 and the throttle opening is very light. This typically happens between 30 and 50 mph when the engine is not under load or on the overrun. The problem will probably dissapper during the winter and reemerge next summer. This is really spoiling my enjoyment of what is otherwise a superb vehicle. I know that there are very few vehicles of this type in the UK but has anyone experienced the same symptom and found a solution?
  10. Name: Citroen C5 (2010) Date Added: 12 May 2014 - 11:32 AM Owner: dflflack Short Description: Fantastic 3.0 V6 HDi diesel executive saloon View Vehicle
  11. I have tried some more expensive 'canbus' P21/5w LED's. This time they came on for about 30 seconds and then went out, has anyone found LED stop/tail light bulbs that will work with a 2010 C5? On a positive note I replaced the front side light bulbs with LED's and these are working well
  12. I was recently considering changing my C5 3 litre HDi saloon for a similar tourer. I have nothing but praise for my current car, it is a very swift vehicle and is economical for the size of its engine, far superior to the old 2.7litre V6. The only problem with it has been that it is a saloon, not a hatchback and this means that It is restricted in its load carrying ability. However, I could not find any 3.0 litre C5's available on the internet. Have Citroen stopped production of this fantastic varient, i hope not?
  13. Hello - I have a C5 (2010) 3.0 litre HDi and have succesfully converted the Daylight running lights to LED bulbs. Recently one of my tailight (the one fitted in the boot lid) failed and I replaced the two with LED's, they are working well. I then thought I might as well replace the two outer P21/5W stop tail bulbs (located in the rear light clusters) with their LED equivalent. When fitted the tail lights flickered on and off rapidly and I have been told that this is due to the onboard computer checking and finding lower resistance in the circuit. A LED bulb dealer has told me that I would need to place resistoers in parrallel with the bulb filament to 'correct' the resistance and 'fool' the computer into recognising the resitance of a tungsten bulb. The problem is that each of the P21/5W bulbs would require two ceramic resistors to complete the job and I am not sure that there would be room to house them between the rear light clusters and the metal bulkhead. An alternative solution that has been suggested is to disable the resistance check in the vehicle software; is anyone aware of this solution and how to accomplish it? I suppose I could just stick with the original bulbs but do like the idea of fitting almost everlasting LED's
  14. I have a 2010 exclusive 3.0 litre V6 HDI with 275 Hp. Its a really swift and comfortable. It returns 49 Mpg on a steady motorway run and 32 mpg around town, that better than my first car a 1957 Morris Minor post office van (still fondly remembered)
  15. I think these bulbs will fit and are four times brighter than those that I have fitted http://dx.com/p/exled-g4-6w-350lm-4-led-white-light-backup-car-light-indicator-lamp-bulbs-12v-pair-246835#.UuRyBoXFKUk
