I was driving on the motor on my way home after work, 8 miles into the journey while cruising at 55 mph the engine lost power down to below 2000 rpm and forced my to coast into the nearest off ramp and stop the car. The RAC came and engine diagnostics and codes suggest failed Ignition Pack. Was towed home, ordered and fitted the new Ignition Pack with the same result: hard start, low revs and eventually cutting out. I love my car and intend to keep it. It's in very good mechanical condition otherwise. Please can somebody suggest to me what could be the cause or causes. It certainly wasn't the I.P. Any suggestions, much appreciated.
