  1. Hi, Since I soldered the connections on my ECU my Xsara MK 2, 2 litre 110 bhp has been perfect. Until this morning. Parked it up last night. Wen't to start it this morning. It won't start. I checked the fault code in the ECU an its showing code 1402. Which is something to do with the EGR valve. Wouldn't have thought that that would have stopped it from starting? I reset the ECU and the car started for a very brief second. It then just kept turning over. Reset it again and again it started for a brief second. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 2002 HDi 110 bhp Xsara estate. Just lately the vehicle has been cutting out. I changed the Fuel pump in the tank and it seemed to go alright for a while today it cut out and on starting again would only rev at 1000 rpm. I touched the cables at the top of the ECU in the engine bay and it went Ok again. This unit has three plugs which plug in. When I got home I took the plugs out and found that two of the pins had broken off due to corrosion and were obviously touching enough to work on occasions. I have removed the ECU and on the back it has Bosch 281 010 962 EDC15C2 along with other numbers. Can any body tell me if any ECU marked EDC15C2 will work as I see some are for sale on E-BAY or does anybody know of a company that can refurbish the connections? Any help would be appreciated
  3. Hello, I am new to this forum. I bought a 2002 Citroen Xsara 2 litre ( 110 bhp ) HDi LX a few months ago. It has been standing in the driveway for that length of time without being started ( Been away ) When I tried to open it with the remote control the central locking wouldn't work. I opened it with the key OK. I put the key in the ignition and found the battery totally flat. I have put a new battery on it. The remote control still doesn't open the doors and the car won't start. The engine turns over but but refuses to start. I was told to listen for a motor sound in the fuel tank under the rear seat when I switched the ignition on. There is no noise. All the lights in the dash come on when I put the key in. I noticed a small picture of a key in the dash. I think it used to go out after I put the key in but it isn't now. In the centre dash it is displaying ECO Mode. I have tried to syncronise the key by putting it in the ignition and holding the lock button for 10 seconds releasing the button swithcing of the ignition and waiting 3 seconds. That didn't make any difference. Any help or suggestions would be greatfully accepted as I need it for work next week. Officer 305.
