  1. I presume the Loeb is the one with the white wheels? If so I've only ever seen one on the opposite side of the carriageway on the M11. Any chance of some pics?
  2. Thanks. I agree the VX220 is great fun, especially on the twisty stuff. The NA I had ran out of steam too quickly and as much as I loved the noise of the sports exhaust and the driving experience I decided to go for something which will hopefully never go wrong rather than upgrading to a VX turbo. Time will tell, no doubt this time next year I'll have a new toy.
  3. Sold my VX220 last year as I bought a house, soon realised that I needn't had and couldn't live an empty garage any longer so today got around to buying a replacement... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/S2000/S2000.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/S2000/S2000Interior.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/S2000/S2000Rear.jpg Its a 2002 GT with colour coded hardtop (which I've got to find somewhere to store) and pretty low mileage. Hopefully the weather is good next Saturday when I pick it up.
  4. No need to try it, I am telling you it works as the mirrors fold both ways.
  5. The mirrors fold closer to the car if you push them the wrong way with the glass facing outwards.
  6. Yup, I always liked Wicked Red after seeing it too late. The golf was also on my list but the same model came with far fewer toys than the Jetta, which is what swayed it. Plus I quite like the look of the R32 style grill and the boot is massive
  7. Finally after 6 months of hire cars my new company car has arrived. First impressions are that it feels a lot better put together with no rattles and is a far smoother ride. Weirdly only doing about 40mpg at the moment but only has 500miles on the clock so I presume it will loosen up. Admittedly it was more expensive than the C4 and came with slightly less standard equipment, but what it does come with actually works! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/Jetta/IMG_1829.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/Jetta/IMG_1830.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c298/alexlomas/Jetta/IMG_1831.jpg
  8. Or even a microfiche as opposed to a very small fish.
  9. My clutch pedal used to grate, the dealer tried to rectify this by spraying the whole thing with oil which made a nice mess on the mat and made no difference to the clutch throw.
  10. I used to get the sudden drop in power in 1st in my 1.6hdi, was pretty dangerous when trying to pull out onto a roundabout. No idea what it was but only intermittent and also had the same problem with an identical loan c4 I was given.
  11. Good luck in the 60,000 miles I did in the car before handing it back I don't remember a single mile where the wheels were balanced. In the end I gave up after taking it to about 5 kwikfits and 3 Citroen dealers. It had a new set of wheels with pirellis and then reverted to new Michelins and still the same. Seemed to me that the problem wasn't balancing but in the usual helpful Citroen style they weren't interested in diagnosing the fault.
  12. Interesting to see that people who work for Citroen drive VAG engined cars.....very sensible
  13. Certainly doesn't sound right and I doubt you are missing something. Just sounds like typical Citroen build quality. Mine broke down with about 65 miles on the clock!
  14. Nein ich habe immodium.
  15. Wie Komme ich am besten zum bahnhof bitte?
