Assuring you of our best attentions, Yours sincerely CITROËN UK LIMITED STEPHEN STEVENS CUSTOMER CONTACT CENTRE My reply to below: What a load of poppycock I have never heard such a rubbish explanation in my life Name me 5 car manufactures who do not paint the inside of the engine bay and bonnet. And in any case you have painted it but not the same colour as the rest of the car but managed to get overspray everywhere and produced a very poor finish. Not good enough. Why don’t you address the problem. ======================================== Message Received: Apr 24 2008, 06:50 PM From: CUK_contactcentre@citroen.com To: MICHAEL@**********.FREESERVE.CO.UK Cc: Subject: File 25182/Case 1159351 Dear Mr ***** Thank you for your e-mail dated 23 April 2008. Having noted your comments, I would stress that Citroën UK is always interested in product feedback. Procedures exist which allow such information to be monitored via our warranty records. It is not recommended to have paint in the engine compartment, as the heat from the engine may cause damage to the paint work. If at any time you have a need to raise concerns with your dealer, they can contact us, if necessary, when we will offer them whatever advice or assistance we are able. In the circumstances, I thank you for contacting Citroën U.K. and I do assure you that your comments have been recorded. I just have to write to you and complain bittley about spoiling The C3 Cachet by not applying paint to the engine bay, bulk head and bonnet, I had owned a C3 before a 3 year old one and had upgraded to a new vehicle but, it never dawned on me to look inside the engine compartment in the showroom to see if the engine bay, bulk head and bonnet were painted : The first time I went to check the fluid levels I was shocked and disgusted at the lack of finish and poor standard of presentation (overspray): I am just dismayed and I am now wondering if this is a cost saving I can see what about those I can't see. Nothing you could say would rid the discuss I feel with the shabby condition you have presented the engine bay, bulk head, and bonnet of this vehicle. I am so disappointed that you have spoiled the finish on this vehicle: You have spoil something completely by trying to make a small economy.
  4. My C3 2005 made this noise from new I have covered 49,000 miles on the same set of brakes front and rear front 50% worn and 30% worn. So the noise dont't affect the operation or make them wear quicker. But the copper tone on the rear plate sounds like a good notion if it happens on me new one. Thanks
