Cheers, have posted on there as well. I thought the air con would run independently of the blowers, after all I get the same level of coldness from the blowers with or without the air con button turned on. I also thought I was supposed to hear a click when turning the air con on, but nothing happens.

Have bought the above vehicle second hand yesterday (2001 model) but have a query regarding the air con. If I push the air con button the green light comes on but nothing happens. Do I need to turn the blowers on in order to get the air con working or should it just work as soon as I push the a/c button? Apologies if it's a simple answer but the owners manual isn't very clear. I assumed as soon as I pushed the a/c button I would hear a noise to confirm it's working and thought the blowers would be a totally separate thing from the air con itself.
