  1. you say a metallic noise , would you say a metal bang or clunk? as for the creaking was that the suspension lowering the vehicle to setting when you got out, if so i have the same problems any clues please. the rear does seem weak and i wondered if a sphere was low.

    Ride Height

    thank you.
  3. could anyone tell me the distances from wheel centre to top of wheel arch front and rear please as the self level has been moved, the car looks level but the gap at the rear is much less than the front and when i look at other C5's on the road ( stationary ) they seem to have a much bigger gap. thanks
  4. have replaced pump as the old one had siezed, lowered car replaced pump filled with LDS bleed a little air out of rear valve but car will not raise, do i apply pressure to resovoir or as somone elser said get the pump programmed, that bit i dont understand the pump fitted is like 4 like therfore surely it is only like disconnecting the battery and the pump would remember it's settings.
  5. the resovoir was empty, and there could be a pump problem, i hjave poured 1 lt of lds into resovoir but it is going nowhere, the car will not rise or fall, is it a case of applying pressure to the resovoir tank and if so how do i do so, this is worth a try before i put the car to citroen and maybe get a new pump fitted. ouch

    What Pump

How can i find out what suspension pump i have fitted to my 03 2.0 hdi the pump is up the swanee and i think i have a choice of 2
  7. I have a dead suspension pump and wish to replace, i have sourced several at breakers for around the £60 mark, but have been told by citroen that i could have 1 of 2 fitted, any ideas on a how to identify what i have and what i may buy and what is the differences, is it just age related or to do with sport mode etc
  8. We have a 51 plate 1.9 diesel used as a taxi it has covered 190000 miles serviced by Citroen upto 140000, dont know if we should sell it now or run it into the ground, anyone like to hazard a guess at values, emmisions are fine no rattles etc it's been a 1 owner driver , I reckon it should be good for at least another 50000 so would make a good private car if they could get there head around the mileage. no price would insult me
  9. Just finding my way round the C5 after owning 2 XM's, i know to use LDS not green mineral but could someone run me thro the procedure for draining and refilling the suspension fluid, are any special tools required, should car be set at low mid or full height etc. also is there a good manual such as haynes for the C5 yet
