Yes the temp gauge is is working fine.

Well everything that can go wrong will go wrong i suppose. Have rebuilt a Xsara MkII (2001) 2.0L TD Hdi after a front end crash and everything seemed to be going well until it was time to drive it places. Fine when cold, but as the temp comes up the engine will only run at 2500 RPM. Now I am guessing this is because it getting too hot, and the reason it's getting to hot is because the fan isn't kicking in. I have tested the fan accross a battery and it runs fine, (It should do, it's brand new) so my question is where is the censor/switch and how do I test it? Thanks Ian

I bought a 2001 salvage Xsara 2.0TD Hdi, we have plenty of experience at rebuilding these things and have just about finished, with only one spare part! Does anybody know where the pipe from the bottom of the air filter housing goes? I have spent hours under the car looking for the bracket to fix it to, scoured the web and asked several local mechanics, and nothing so far. Would really appricate your knowledge on this one Cheers Banger

Now the bottom of the diesel filter housing there is a tube, clear plastic, mine is hanging straight down, anybody know where it should go?
