Was working fine before the oil change. Dip stick is showing oil to the maximum mark. I used fully synthetic oil - in case it has any bearing Don

I have just changed the oil and filter on my 51 2.0 HDI LX estate. Reset the service counter. The dipstick says full but the computer says empty - flashing dashes. Will the computer eventually realise it has oil or does something else need resetting (kicking) ? Any thoughts please Regards Don :(
