  1. I'm not 100% sure if they do pre cats in long life but they did quote me a price for the whole system before with out a cat. However my father has a C5 estate 2.0 HDI 2002 model and he also went there for a back box because it was by far cheaper and also don't forget that it has a life time warrenty. But they did tell him that they do make cats there too! It might be worth a shot like.
  2. Yeah sorry! there are long life centres all over the country, this is the comapny that all the boy racers use. The one i used was in Swansea the address is Longlife Exhausts. Cwmdu Industrial Estate, Carmarthen Rd, Gendros, Swansea, West Glamorgan SA5 8JF Tel: 01792 586888 . I hope this helps, what i forgot to mention was that you can choose the tone and sound you would like and also the size of the bore too, which is great.
  3. Just thought i would mention that if anyone has got a 3.0 v6 C5 and your are unlucky enough for the back box to go, i would not recomend you getting a standard replacement because one very few people stock them and second they are super expensive. prices ranging from around 600 to 1000 pounds shocking and thats just a back box. SO the best bet is to get one made for you thats what i did by long life, it took them just over 2hrs to make and it sounds great and cost just over £200 ok i know its not cheap but alot cheaper than getting one pre made from a motor factors. And was quoted just over £400 for the whole system so good to know in the future. :D
  4. Having changed the spark plugs on my C5 V6 2003 model which is not as hard or as bad as it may sound, ok its not easy but that hard either. After all was done the display on the car came up with an anti pollution fault warning and the yellow engine light, however it did not hinder the engine at all as in go into limp home mode. There are i have noticed a few ideas or cheats on here of how to get rid of or help the ecu clear its memory. Anyway to cut a long story short the 90 second wait one had no affect on my car, but i was not goning to be defeted. so tried another way 5 quick turns of the key as in on off lock the car open it and hey presto it was clear. :) Sorted hope this may help someone in the future. Also in the past have had an anti pollution fault twice before and its gone into limp home mode, found out it was the coil on one of the plugs both times common fault on the v6 so i've been told not too bad to replace thou cos me £32 in a motor factors.
