Hi. I have a 2011 Citroen C3. The two air vents which are side by side in the centre of the dash will not close. When I close the vents, the cover behind the air vents doesn't seem to be attached and remains open. Please could anyone advise if this is a simple fix, and if so, how do I remove the air vents without marking the dash. Many thanks.

Hi. I have a 2011 C3 1.6 Hdi Exclusive (57000 miles) which is three weeks out of warranty. I have noticed that when the clutch is fully depressed, if you move your foot slightly left or right, there is a slight creaking noise. Apart from that the car runs perfectly. Should I be worried, (or stop moving my foot when the clutch is fully depressed!) or would anyone know if this is normal - I've only had the car for a matter of weeks and my local Citroen Dealership don't want to know as the clutch is barely covered if the car still had warranty. Any help or reassurances would be gratefully received!

Hi. I have an 07 C3 Exclusive 1.6hdi, and intermittently the display shows 'faulty foglamp' and beeps and the 'serv' light shows on the dashboard - the display and serv lights clear in a couple of seconds. This generally happens whilst indicating or braking, although all lights are working fine. Would anyone have any ideas what to do to try and resolve this. By chance the car passed its MOT last Saturday and this started happening last Sunday! Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi. My car is approaching 110000 miles. I've been looking in the handbook and it states that the particle filter needs replaced at 112500 miles. I've been looking on the internet for approximate costs, and there seems to be conflicting reports about whether or not my car has even got a particle filter fitted. How would I find out (being not mechanically minded) and if it has one, does anyone know the approximate cost to have it supplied and fitted (not from a dealership). Any help would be appreciated.

It's not a Citroen dealership, it's a garage that I've used for quite a while. Haven't got a clue what I'd be looking for if I looked myself. I can top up oil etc. and change a wheel if needed, but that's my limit! Also my boyfriend works away and wont be back before next weekend when the car's going back in to be worked on and retested. When I brake, the car doesn't seem to pull to either side (but what do I know!), but there is a bit of juddering if you're doing any speed and slowing, such as coming off the motorway at the top of the slip road. Bloody cars!

Hi. Took my 2007 C3 1.6 hdi for it's MOT. It's failed due to uneven front brake pad wear, as well as too much play in the anti roll bar linkage (on a different post). My car has done 102000 miles, and had new front pads and discs only 12000 miles ago. I've only had the car since July 2011 (it was previously my boyfriends car for three years). The garage has said that there is uneven wear on the front pads, and that it needs new pads and discs for its' MOT. I had noticed there was very slight jeddering when braking on the slip road coming off the motorway, but it is very slight. What could cause the uneven brake pad wear, and what would cause it after only 12000 miles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Took my 2007 C3 1.6 hdi for it's MOT. It's failed due to too much play in the passenger side anti roll bar linkage. It's going back to the garage on Saturday to be repaired. Both anti roll bar linkages were replaced at 72000 miles, approximately 30000 miles ago (my car has now done 102000 miles). What causes them to go? Is it something that can be prevented somehow?

Following on from my earlier post. Think the vibration noise is coming from where the cover which goes over the injectors and the air filter housing meet. (Had to be told that it was the air filter housing!). The air filter housing moves slightly, and when the cover is removed from over the injectors, there is slight powder on the underside of the cover where the air filter housing sits below the injector cover. Does anyone have any ideas as to why the air filter housing appears to have a bit of movement? Also, the air intake hose next to it has slight movement (more than it probably should). The 'bayonet' fittings on the air intake hose keep coming apart, so it's now held together with gaffer tape! Any thoughts?

Basically as per the title. Citoren C3 1.6 hdi Exclusive 2007. When in third gear doing roughly 25mph at around 1500rpm, there is a vibration which seems to be from under the bonnet. It almost sounds like the exhaust blowing, but the exhaust's fine. The noise seemed to start after the car went in for an oil and filter change, and fuel and pollen filter. Any ideas as to what it could be would be greatly appreciated. Makes no difference to driving the car, but it's driving me mad. As I don't know anything about cars, any 'strange' noise worries me!

Hi. On my 2007 1.6 Hdi Exclusive, the back part of the exhaust appears to be perfect and the exhaust is working fine. The bracket around the back box however is rusting away, and there is now slight movement of the back box. I've rang a couple of local independant garages and have been told that the bracket can not be bought and that a whole new back box is required. Can anyone confirm that this is correct, and also would a universal exhaust bracket work as a replacement for the rusting bracket? Many thanks.

Had the seals replaced on injectors 3 and 4 at an independant garage. Cost was £90 including vat and all is now well!

Just to update. Pollen filter has been changed, which it needed, but has made no difference. When the top cover is taken off where the injectors are, the right hand two injectors have what appears to be black liquid near the top of them. Presumably this would mean the seals do need replacing, as kfk said? Any ideas what would be a reasonable cost for this to be done at an independant garage?

My boyfriend has just bought an 11 plate C3 1.6 hdi exclusive. The car appears to have lost the cup holder during the face-lift! Only a minor detail, but it's a bit of a miss! Does anyone know of anything available to buy; know you can buy ones off ebay etc. that hook onto the door, but wondered if anyone knew of anything else that might be available. Thanks.
