What you will find, is that if you change the headphone jack to Line Out insead, you will get a much better sound and you will not have to turn up the volume control.

As far as the insurance goes, yes, if the insurance assessor finds out then you could be in trouble. However, it is incredibly difficult to find out as the only way is to compare the map to one on an unaltered ECU. Tecnically you are not changing any of the part of the car. I agree with wozza on this one. Remapping is the way forward. Looking to get mine done after christmas. Also it doesnt affect warranty because it is not adding an additional part, unlike the chip.

As wozza said, you can do this with pretty much any car as long as you match the revs. Going up gears is also a lot easier than going down gears! <_<

I think its gona have to be something special. IMO i hate it when manufacturers produce a cabriolet by chopping the roof off an existing car and just simply replace it with a folding roof. There are only a handfull of cars that that look good like that. If you want a really decent Cabriolet, then you should get one that has been designed from the start to be a cabriolet! I hope it doesnt look nice. Otherwise i mite have to buy one!!

I know exactly how you feel. I have been waiting for over 6 weeks so far and not heard anything yet. so its not even in the country yet. Hey, prob not even built yet. Your dealer is going to have so much fun trying to order that car for you. Mine had a few problems. First the extra options i added meant that the order had to be done manually. Then the order was only acknowledged after 6 or so emails chasing it up. A few days later, the dealer received a phone call from france sayin that i couldnt have the JBL system because it doesnt fit. Helloooo, Its a factory fitted option. Stupid french car production workers. Now its all sorted. just got to wait for it now.

I bought some two days ago. And mine was by the wiper stuff too. I bought it in a special pack and got the rainx and some other rainx branded stuff too for an extra quid. Bonus!! It would have made sense to stick all the exterior stuff together but you know what halfrauds are like. Im going back tomorrow to get some megs stuff. I really need some good quality poilsh. The only thing about the leon that i dont like is the interior. More specifically, the dash. Its like marmite. You either love it or hate it. And personally i hate it. I did look at a leon but i just wasnt happy about sitting in front of that dash. Its wierd!!! As for the punto Arbarth. Bring it on, That will be one goooood car!

I would love to do this in my car too. I reckon i have most of the parts needed, only hard part would be the software that runs on the PC. It looks like a custom jobbie. It would prob take me a few weeks to write. Anyone else think they could write it?
