it was mainly from a saftey point of veiw and to make sure im not damagin the system, havin just started a new job 20miles away an not been payed in 3 weeks all my money is goin toward buying diesel so cannae realy afford luxury items like working gauges, i plan to really look after the car when i have the funds. i agree with the shoestring thing to an extent but i paid 200quid for my car so it essentialy shoestring motoring. most xantias are dirt cheap so you cant expect the normal sort of person who buys cheap cars to replace every single gauge light bulb and sensor ect cheers for you help anywaes

the gauge on the lhm resovoir on my xantia doesnt work it and i recetly suffered a burst return pipe an am unsure of how much fluid has been lost, can anyone peer inside there resovoir an tell me how far up it should be, many thanks
