Can anyone tell me where the Satnav ECU lives??? Is it built into the CD drive??

Yep, dealer says Satnav ECU. Anyone any idea where it actually is?? Local garage (not Citroen) has a Cardata system that shows the ECU as being "near" the Satnav CD unit, but it's not obvious.

Tried all sorts and nothing worked. As I posted elsewhre, Kent Elms Citroen have diagnosed the ECU, apparently 3 parts to the system. ECU, CD player where the software CDs load and the screen. New ECU is £850+vat+fitting. Currently looking at Ebay also the local garage has a man who repairs ECUs for "a couple of hundred quid"!! So might yet go that route. By the way, new aerial and base, fitted is almost exaclty £100. Anyone know exactly where the SatNav ECU is hidden?????

Yep, this is how mine started. Got worse and worse, unit worked less and less. Now works about 1 hour in 100. Diagnosed by Main Dealer as ECU - £850 +vat plus fitting!!!! The "plug in" diagnostic will not work so don't waste £40 +vat, since if the ECU is not working it will not talk to the diagnostic!! I lose complete control of Radio, single CD and CD changer.............and no clock!!!!

Yep me too. 2002 HDI Only does it if unlocked.

02 Reg C5 Estate. Can anyone tell me how to remove the aerial?? Does it unscrew, if so mine is VERY tight, or does it pop out of the base in some way??

Thanks for the reply. Luckily I've got almost all the documentation , books and the CDs. Next step is to try and re-install the software then!! I'll let you know how it goes!

OK, so ther's no workshop manual. Can anyone help me with a full wiring diagram. Fuses, relays etc!!

Only thing I can suggest is experiment with the ventilation settings. if i have air coming out of the middle vent on my 02 Climate control Estate it is cold, fresh outside air, however, if I only use up and down, then the climate control works pretty well!!! God, these cars are quirky!!!!!

Hi all. I have an 02 C5 Estate 2.2 Auto Exclusive. It has the Built in Sat Nav and colour screen along with Traffic master. Traffic master never seems to work, thegreen LED never lights up, but I can get a response out of the system and switch between auto and manual by pressing the button. I regularly lose the mapping function of the satnav which I improved by just running a cleaning disc in the CD unit. However, now the whole system regularly crashes. The screen blanks and I lose all control of the Satnav, the CD unit and autochanger. The computer however rmemebers all the settings and will display the correct trip data when the unit finally boots up again. Usually if the unit goes down, I have to leave the car at least overnight before it will boot again. Any ideas????
