I upgraded but sold privately and bought privately. I had a 1.40 VT 05 - cost me £8,499 from citroen bought a 2.0 VTS 55 for 11,500 (had every extra possible - glass roof, sound pack, etc etc) sold VT for £5,800 moral of story - it may cost you a lot!! but im happy I did it!

id rather it looked flashy - but hang on what am I saving witht he citroen cable? I kinda wanted to keep the volume :-( :-( nothing I can do for that? ipod support would be nice ( I currently have AUX for my RD4), how does bluetooth operate with a stereo? god im sounding simple now - im actually an IT consultant - you'd never know!!

When I got my C4 1.4i VT (Before I upgraded to the 2.0 VTS) this guy was peering through my drivers door when i was walking back to my car - he looked startled when he saw me approaching him and then said "Thats a sweet car mate, I love that dashboard". I felt pelased with myself, but then couldnt help but think was he actually trying to steal it (or looking for something to steak inside)!?? and came up with some crap when he saw me approaching! Guess ill never know haha

ok - so looks like the new speakers are going to be easy to pick... What about a head unit - any recommendations? like I say price doesnt particularly matter - something midranged i guess? What things am i likely to lose functionality wise? does the citroen cable work with all makes of stereo?

maybe I do have a fault then!! Mine did it again last night -hadnt even been raining - Maybe wozza I should just buy the head unit upgrade and be done with the parking sensors!!

I do have parking sensors... So I guess a headunit is out of the question? So your saying there is a cable that I can get that will support an aftermarket headunit? will i lose any functions? how would I get access to the middle computer above the stereo? Or I guess all the stuff I need is accessible from the steering column stalk? As you can tell ive not done much reading! I think the JBL woofer in the boot (thats a woofer right???) looks pretty meaty - and its just my interios speakers that arent up to scratch - would that be a good assumption? Im right in thinking that the JBL upgrade doesnt even touch the in car speakers?? Sorry for all the questions - pointing me to some links would be good for what you would recomment - i have no idea on price but surprise me! thanks in advance Wozza! Mark

I have got the RD4 Blaupunkt stereo in my C4 (which is standard I believe) with the JBL pack upgrade. To be honest though the bass isnt fantastic and I often find that my front speakers muffle with the sound - which concerns me because I always feel like im damaging the speakers. Has anyone upgraded the head unit on their C4 and still got the steering controls to work? I think I would sorely miss the volume button on the steering wheel... Also does anyone have any full recommendations for upgrades? I dont know where to start, tweeters, woofers, argh its all gobbledegook to me!

ahh - I just opted for the flash shampoo rather than that kit. Maybe I should invest in the drying thing. What exactly does it do? I'm terrible at using a leather, is it effectively a leather for lazy people? Sounds just the ticket to me!

my C4 has done this on a number of occations now. The first time I did happen to have a wet newspaper sheet stuck to the front of my car - how annoying that was on the motorway! took me long enough to figure out how to disable them! Just presumed they were broken haha. But the reverse ones have done exactly the same with nothing at all on them, no dirt etc. Just rain...

Please let us know if this works... I would be interested in something like this - it seems to take me ages when I get in the car to plug everything in. Sat Nav, sat nav charger, ipod headphones out, ipod charger This would reduce things quite a lot!

Seeing your picture actually provoked me to buy it! Ive got the same model you have and seeing it gleaming put me to shame! I bought some Gold Class (something like that) wax - but i took it back as it was nowhere near as good as my auto glym that I had sat in the garage. I bought a washing mit, alloy cleaner, alloy brush, tyre finisher, flash washing solution. . . Thinking about it how on earth did that cost £50!? lol

Thanks for the advice... They claimed to have checked all the logs and nothing was there and just told me that I h ad to live with it as they couldnt identify the fault. I was a bit annoyed to be honest - just because it wasnt happening to them they claimed it didnt exist! Yeah im sure its not my main washers that are hitting the window :-) They hit the window and then its about a second later the jets from down below hit the window. Like I say I didnt even know I had headlamp washers till this started happening and got someone to check outside while i pressed them :-) Guess it will have to go in to Citroen then! I just washed my C4, got to the fun part of waxing and all heavens opened - so annoyed! I just spent £50 on cleaning bits and bobs too!! Gonna have to wait a day until she is gleaming :-(

1. When the front blower is on (i.e. to demist the window quicker) and I open the passenger window and then close it it squeeeeeeals really strangely unless I open it slightly. Ive only noticed this if ive got the blower on full... 2. My cruise control turnd off intermittantly when driving, it sometimes wont turn back on for a few clicks either. It has been into Citroen who did nothing and had the cheek to ask me if im sure I wasnt pressing the brakes haha! 3. My headlight washers seem to spray my windscreen! (I only actually knew the car had them because of this! They look cool but sure arent working right!) Oh and Hi - im new here - been looking for a good C4 forum for a while - ill get some pics in my sic as soon as I clean my car. Ive got a 2.0 VTS HDi in Black with full leather, glass roof, JBL pack, directional lights (am I showing off now!?) Mark
