This may be a suspension arm bearing going south. That was what caused the "squeak" in my 2003 C5 Exclusive. But it got to the stage where it was happening frequently, when the arm moved.

I'm trying to replace a faulty RH Xenon globe on my 2002 (French factory plate) C5 Exclusive V6. I have the connector block off, but I am unable to locate/feel the clip mentioned above. Stasi, did your car have self-levelling headlights? Mine does, and that may account for my difficulty in finding the clip. You also mentioned "clips" (plural). Is there more than one clip per bulb?. Access is very limited - the 'sideways' method doesn't work on a V6. I'm avoiding removing the battery at this stage. At least the reservoir on mine doesn't have a sharp edge!
