all rings true.. the dealer said mentioned something about 'weights' and 'levers' and then mentioned that something would need to be drilled and screwed. they're gonna try and make a claim to citroen but i'm not holding my breath.

hi, the spring is an absolute nightmare to get on and off.. when i finally managed it none of the headlights would work and i had to take it to the garage where they charged me £23 for reconnecting them. hmmm.. whats that word for people born out of wedlock??

Apparently a lever has gone inside the gearbox and will cost £150 to fix.. Not as horrendous as the gearbox going completely but still p*sses me off.

Last night my wife was driving home in her 1.4 53 plate LX C3. Whilst in motion the gear stick became more 'floppy' and then got stuck in first. After much intense wiggling the gear finally came out but there was a clunk from beneath the driver's seat! The car then allowed gear changes but with less resistance on the gear stick and a host of creaks and a worrying grinding.. I'm praying to god this isn't a gearbox change, anybody have an idea? :blink:
