It's fixed. I took it to a local garage. It was the washer pump and it cost £29 for supply & fit.

I have a 2002 1.9 diesel that has just failed its MOT because the windscreen washer doesn't work. My was thought was that it was the fuse but I was unable to find a named fuse in either the handbook or the Haynes manual. I have checked the fuses in the box below the dashboard by interchanging them. I've removed the cowling round the wheel and checked the power lead that goes to the pump. This doesn't show a current. It's beginning to look as though I'm going to have to take it into a garage. Has anyone any advice/suggestions?
