  1. I don't know if the deisel is different, but I think my handbook for the 1.6 petrol quoted 80k or 6 years. There's normally an age reference as well as mileage total. I changed mine at 6 years old with 70k in any event.
  2. The curry smell comes from burnt coolant, so likely to be small seep on the heater matrix as mentioned. I've had it for 3 years on my 2004 model. The pollen filter is sited under the passenger footwell. I think there's a couple of torq screws then it drops out. Changed mine, but not change to the smell, so won't cure it, but worth changing if it's not been done for a while.
  3. Thanks people. I refitted the part and it does make a little difference. Cheers
  4. Many thanks Techbod. I am now in that site and having a search around. I've not had chance to look at the pedal on my car as working all day, but have messed with the part and it doesn't actually look to have snapped or anything. The two piece go inside the spring and clip onto the pedal top and bottom. The male part passed throught the inside of the other to compress the spring, so it looks on the face of it to have just flicked off. A bit odd, but the driver who dropped it off must have pressed his foot against it and pulled the bottom clip off some how. The pedal seems no different, so I am not sure exactly what the part does as it seems no heavier than before. So if it makes the pedal lighter, it hasn't been doing alot or it wasn't fitted right for sometime and I never knew it. I will see if I can pop it back on and if it actually helps any! Many thanks...
  5. Aaahhh, brilliant Techbod, that looks like it, and there's nothing there on my pedal, so it's clearly snapped and fell off. By the looks of the diagram, it looks like a new one can be fitted without taking the pedal assembly apart. If it is there to make the clutch lighter, I wonder if mines been broke a while and only just come away? Many thanks
  6. I've just looked via a different PC and I can now see the link, but it's sending me to a login screen (in french).
  7. I can't veiw whatever it is Techbod. Is there anthor way I can see it?
  8. Thanks. That would make sense. My clutch has felt heavy for ages. I only noticed how much after driving another car. The question is, has it just broke and ended up there, or have the garage messed with it and took it off?? Any idea where it goes or if I could buy a replacement and fit it easy?
  9. Hi everyone I own a berlingo multispace which I had from new in 2004. A bus recently hit pulled out in front of me and damaged my front end and suspension. It's been back into the garage twice to get the repair right. Second time it came back I found a part on the drivers side foot well. I thought it might be something to do with the cluch pedal assembly, but it could be from elsewhere or another vehicle, left by the repairer. Does anyone know what it is?? http://www.flickr.com/photos/30299680@N03/2961581799
