  1. I have had to replace both my headlamp bulbs, both went within a matter of a week! A little fiddly - there is a clip which goes round the outside of the bulb seating which has two lugs at the top. You have to push each of the lugs outwards and towards the rear of the car (one lug at a time) to release the clip whic then allows the bulb to be removed. It took me a while to work it out as the manual is not very clear. Hope this helps. Rob.
  2. Just to let you know that my car is still quiet, How is yours doing Reggie? At my last service the dealers uploaded the latest software and this has rectified the cutting out that I used to experience quite frequently.
  3. yes see my latest post under cutting out and rattles Rob
  4. Still no creaks or rattles after all this time - so it looks like a permanent fix. Latest software upgrade has also elimiated cutting out at halts! <_< BTW has this site been down for ages?
  5. Picked up my car today C3HDI Exc after having the roof mods carried out a second time - this time with expanding foam in the roof channels now sanctioned by Citroen. Good news - it works - I am absolutely delighted that there are no creaks or rattles from around the tops of the B pillars. I can now hear the rear parcel shelf rattling but this can easily be sorted out by some rubber stops or sticky foam tape. But the bad news is that they creased the headlining at the rear and also stained it presumably after trying to clean off dirty fingermarks, so it will have to go back in for a new headlining. However, this to me is the lesser of two evils. By the way it took 4 days for the job to be carried out. Rob
  6. Received a call from the dealers yesterday - Citroen have now agreed to the use of expanding foam in the roof channels. So it's another 3 day job in a couple of weeks time.
  7. See my post on creaks and rattles - Rob
  8. Got the car back after having the roof repairs carried out to remedy the creaks and rattles from the B pillars. The car was in for 3 days, headlining dropped, mastic etc. and guess what? Still creaks and rattles; in fact it now sounds worse to me. Apparently my dealers carry out an extra 'fix' which includes expanding foam and they say they have had no returns with this method but Citroen have now prohibited the use of it. The problem is now in the hands of Citroen - will keep you posted. By the way the car accelerates more smoothly and has not cut out yet with the current software 'upgrade'. I think that it is idling slightly faster. Rob
  9. My garage's prices are £165 for the 12500 and 25000 miles HDi services so that's cheap!
  10. Thanks for the replies Don't know if I've done the right thing but I've booked it in at Stourbridge to get it fixed (I am not holding my breath though) in a couple of weeks. It's a three day job as it involves removal of the headlining, and there's yet another software upgrade. I will keep you informed.
  11. My C3 HDI Exclusive (17500 miles) has not cut out for ages, then it happened twice yesterday. Meanwhile the rattling at the tops of the B (seat belt) pillars is progressively getting worse although it could be affected by temperature. I seem to remember from the old forum that it could be mastic related - is it worth trying to get it sorted? I did try at the 12500 miles service but i knew they didn't know what they were talking about so I gave up! Other than that it's a super car.
