Auto is the standard setting, the CC will maintain constant temperature (well in theory anyway), according to the individual settings. When this light is off, it just means you've manually fiddled with one of the settings (changed fan speed, air flow etc). The Eco button turns off the refrigerated air flow (air con) to reduce the load on the engine, so wouldn't make a lot of difference this time of year (in this country leastways). All the above is my interpretation of the handbook, which could be different to what it actually means of course, the book does lose a bit in translation from the French version of gibberish........ ;) Hope this helps Oppositelock (C5 2.0HDi SX since Jan 03)
