Strange, my 53 HDI exc has the auto door lock, but also has the forgetful child locks.

Probably something as simple as the switch fitted not being the correct one for the Exc. I'm into my second year of ownership of a C3 HDI exc and am quite happy with the spec, and relaibilty of the car.

Mine makes this noise maybe 50% of the time when applying the handbrake. I can live with this, the infernal noise from the B pillar is something else though.

Arrows, I wouldn't mind hearing how you get on, and what info Citroen UK have regarding this, as I feel I will get a "they all do that sir" answer when I see my dealer about this later this month.

From new, my car used maybe a litre of oil in the first 1000 miles, then it has settled down. It is nearly due its 12500 service, and the top up peformed in the first month has been the only one it has needed (Ex HDi 16v)

Hi guys, first post, so be kind. My 53 Ex HDi 16v has an annoying rattle/creak from what I thought was the rear door, reading some replies on here I wonder if it is actually the B pillar problem that seems to need resolving with mastic or rivets? It started when the car was about 4 months old (middle of winter) and seems to be getting worse as time goes on. I'd appreciate any details on this so I can go to my dealer in a few weeks for the service and get this fixed. While I'm at it, I also have a buzzy gearstick at about 2.500 rpm, moving the gearstick while in gear, even slightly stops the noise. Anyone know what this might be? Mechanically I'm happy with the car, these are the only 2 niggles that I have.
