  1. I was unimpressed with the front mudflaps. They work well at reducing the muck up the side of the car but the fittings are not plated against rust, the black finish simply dropped off while rattling in the box/bag, and clamping a screw against the cill flange and breaking the paint seal is stupid ( I cut an aluminium can open and folded it as a pad then glued it onto the flange for the screw to push against ). Functional but cheap and nasty, needing much waxoyl etc. afterwards

    C1

TAILGATE SPOILER I did not know these existed but may be very interested if they help keep the rear glass reasonably clean of the road spray that seems to instantly cover it - does anyone have experience of fitting one after normal use to say if they help ? I would recommend the front mudflaps as they reduce noticeably the road splash up the sides of the car, but not as effective as they need to be.
  3. Got the car in March and wondering how they cope with winter. e.g window steaming problems & how quickly they clear; battery coping with drain from constant lights, wipers, de-mister fan; locks freezing up ? Any problems that could be common to the petrol version.
  4. Same in this area; £165 & £135 from 2 local dealers. Aggree - can do changes myself (and more carefully!) so begrudge prices just to keep the warranty.

    Faults

Many Thanks. Sounds like a common problem then. Garage fixed under warranty (car 4 months old) but was traced by elimination of other parts e.g. sensors and last possible cause left. Not happy that the fault was not DEFINITELY confirmed but resulted from "well, it must be the ecu then". Unit replaced. Faults of engine surging, occasional sluggish acceleration on motorways, and engine cutting to idling speed then stopping 5 seconds later. Not helpful while overtaking... Thanks again.

    Faults

Has anyone else had the engine stopped when going along the road by a faulty computer ? Is this a common problem ?
