As I wasn't there I'm not entirely sure where but I believe they were around the roof and pillar adjoin. Whatever they did it rectified it...Why don't you ask your garage what they intend to do to fix it?? Lx

The fix for me only took about an hour...they renewed rivets and put some mastic in...I know some members had the head lining removed, but it's better to have it rectified than put up with it. Lx

The clicking you hear is most probably the relay for the windowscreen wipers...damned annoying it is!! :) BL

There are good dealers out there, you just have to discern for yourself. My dealer gave me a very good deal first time around...when I wrote my car off at 14 months old, they gave me a superb deal as a repeat customer and did everything for me by phone, as I was incapcitated. On the point of lumbar support...I have spinal damage in the lumbar region...I was slightly disappointed that there was no adjustment, but I can honestly say I have never driven a more comfortable car in all my born days. New C3 on the way here too, actually picking it up tomorrow afternoon. Have gone for the Oriental blue SX Auto 1.4i (not senso). Unlike Stim and his missus I really don't care for the *new* grey ambience at all, I orginally had the artic steel with the old dual tone interior...it was one of the reasons I liked the car, really light and airy feeling. Now the colour choice with the dual tone blue ambience is down to White (yuck), Tuscan Blue and the Oriental Blue, pretty poor choice :( , as the old grey ambience was nicked for the new XTR. Anyways off we go again and I'll try not to write this one off :P BL

It is worth pursuing the rattles.....it is mastic and it is heat related...the problem on my old C3 was remedied with rivets. Just wondering if I will have similar probs with the new one. BL

Thanks very much for the facts and figures...I'm just gonna take the money and run after speaking to my citroen dealer. Unfortunately the car is actually 16 months old, so doesn't fall into the new car category :o

After writing off my car last week I have been offered a settlement of £7800 for an 03/03 1.4i SX Auto C3. As I haven't had to deal with this sort of thing before I am looking for any advice anyone can offer. Until last weeks fiasco the car was in immaculate condition inside and out. Does anyone have any idea of the book price, or what I should be looking for as a settlement??? Thanks in advance BL

The fault lay with me :( , I went out to overtake, the road appeared clear, next thing a fordie was bearing down on me and that was the end of my C3. At the moment I don't feel like driving, but I know it's a little unrealistic in this day and age. BL

:( Well my lovely shiny C3 is no more.....I managed to write it off on Tuesday. On first glance the drivers side wing is mangled and the door a kinda buckled, but on closer inspection the whole chassis is twisted. Almost everything worked as it should according to the Ncap testing...the only thing that went a little awry was the drivers airbag...it inflated as I braked heavily to try and avoid impact making it impossible to see anything. The plastic cover flap on the steering wheel launched itself straight at my face, leaving me with a lovely bleedy nose and no glasses, they were found on the back seat. My other half is going to have a look at the car tomorrow, but it's all a little too raw for me at the moment. I've not had any REAL problems in 16 months of motoring with my C3 and depending on the insurance assessors offer may just go for another. Badlass aka Crash Test Dummy

I've got the steering wheel rattle too..........REALLY does my head in......the dealer also told me it was a known problem and will get it all fixed when some other parts I need arrive.....until then the CD player will have to stay extremely loud ;)

Mine doesn't, you must have the key turned to accessories (as they call it) and after about 30 mins Eco Mode boots in.

I'm glad you mentioned the last 3 points on your list......had noticed each of them......especially the relay for the rear wipe clicking on and off and wondered if anyone else had too :unsure:
