  1. I have a 1800 vtr ,it clutch pedal is very heavy as well.I also have a 1400lx which has a very lightclutch pedal, and I have always put it down to the 1800 having stronger clutch springs!
  2. many thanks techbod you were very close wirh your answer. It was to do with the second fan , but not the relays, but it was the resistor that controls the low heat fan. I did not find it my self ,as I had to put it in a garage to be fixed as I didnt have a wire diagram for the model that my car is. Is there anywhere on this site that can supply current wiring diagrams????? many thanks andy
  3. thanks ill have a look into that , many thanks again
  4. many thanks for a promt reply, your information is very intresting. The difference with your reply is that my xsara is not overheating but the overheat lamp is coming on which I asume that this then brings on the stop lamp followed by the audible warning. As I said the temp gauge is reading only 92oC to 95oC when the temp overheat lamp comes on, which is just a small amount over normal.I have changed the temp gauge sensor which I thought also housed the overheat lamp, but now not sure as the haynes manual I was using for referance only goes up to the year 2000, and my car is a 2001 model. again any help is greatfully receved!!!!
  5. Im getting my temp overheat lamp coming on with the stop lamp and the audable warning, yet the temp gauge reads normal. It only comes on at around 90 to 95 oC and the radiator fan comes on . I have changed the temp sensor, but it made no diffence. Oh by the way the car is a 1400cc 8 valve motor of 2001 vintage. Any help please!!!
  6. how do you reset the overheat warning light, as mine is coming on but the temp is normal,i've changed the sensor to no avail, any help pleae????
  7. Yes you are correct it normally is the connector under ether front seats. Had the same problem on both of my xsaras, and by unplugging and reconnecting back up cured the problem.
  8. Many thanks iannez for your reply . will look for it ASAP :)
