SORTED, Thanks - fuse was burnt but still servicable so I replaced and chacked all connections plus gave everything a good wriggle and it's now okay.

The heater in my XM is the 'auto' type without aircon. I've had a new computer fitted at £500!! 3 years ago. Now the system has gone down again. The fans don't work on auto or manual and there is no heat other than rammed air. Everything else in the car work. HELP, I can't justify another £500 on a 10 year old car, the wife would kill me. :D
