interesting. I've had several attempts to fix this (which started after I had a software patch installed to correct the service warning indicator coming on too early and not being able to be reset). The last attempt involved a new 'control block'(?) being fitted behind the steering wheel - there was a recall on this - and was told that this definitely fixed the fault (it hadn't). this clutch sensor issue could also explain why I'm getting a lot of juddering when at biting point when I pull away at junctions...

this happened to me, about 4000 miles after my service - suddenly the spanner was dispayed again. this was resolved by having the software patched. however, since doing that, I've had continuous problems with the cruise control/speed limiter
