  1. Many thanks for the reply John
  2. HI when you start your C5 it comes up with the little spanner on your milage screen. Mine now reads 10.000 miles until next service, as I have just had it done. I read some where that you need diesel additive. When you fill up with diesel this liquid is realeased into your tank and mixes with the diesel, I was just wondering did it need to be done on the 10,000 mile service or do I wait until it displays?
  3. Do you have to top up the diesel additive each time it has its 10,000 mile service? or do you wait until it comes up on the display??
  4. Thanks Randombloke, I have just spoken to the garage and he has told me that it is normal to have eco mode showing. I have had the car for nearly a year and the last time it came up the battery was dead as you are aware of. Changed the battery and the eco mode went away, until last week when it came back again. I will have to find another citreon garage and maybe they will listen to me!!!!
  5. Back again!!!! Eco Mode has decided to re-appear. The car has been on the computer and has thrown up nothing. Could it be the alternator, I did suggest this to the garage but he said no. Anybody any ideas please!!!!
  6. sorry cannot help you as the problem is still happening!!! Am still open to suggestions please :(
  7. Hi, I now turn my radio off manually as the problem was as both of you have said the battery!!!! Many thanks for your comments
  8. Many thanks for the reply, Car this morning is totally dead!! put key in ignition turned it on and everything on the dash lite up and then started beeping at me. Car did not even turn over. When I went to lock it the remote didn't work so have had to lock it manually. Garage is coming out with lorry to put car on this afternoon will post here what happens. The radio I presume came with the car (only had it since July this year) I don't have a sat nav or mobile plugged in, so it might be the radio as it comes on when you turn the ignition??!!
  9. After leaving the car standing and locked up for 1 hour plus I go back and open it with the key fob but the lights do not flash to tell me that the car has unlocked. Also when I open the doors none of the inside lights come on. When I go to start the engine the computer flashes up eco mode, and nine times out of ten the traffic master talks!!!!! I then turn off the engine and re start it, this seems to do the trick, but I do not understand why all of a sudden it has decided to do this, I would appreciate any advice on this... Has a fuse blown or the electrics have a gremlin?????? Please help

  11. Hi have a xantia, when sitting in the car and the car is idling, it all of a sudden decides to revv itself and I am not even touching the accelerator!!!! The person in the next car at the traffic lights think i am a boyracer and wanting a race but that is not the case. Also when driving the revvs seem to get really high all on it own!!! Please can anyone shed some light on this for me. Many thanks
  12. Thanks shallishanti, I did get a message like that the other morning when it was -2 !!!!
  13. Thanks kfk
  14. Is it normal that when the temperature outside goes below 3 degrees it flashes on the computer for a while, or do i have a fault?? When the temperature went above 3 degrees to 4 it stopped flashing.!
  15. I think that it is ridiculous that they put a drinks holder in the middle of the two seats near electrics, they should re-think where to put the switch for the suspension in the C5.
  16. Hi we thought it might have been the reversing light switch and had tried that first still to no avail so kept on looking and Found the problem, it was the suspension buttons in the middle of the two front seats, took it apart and found that the electrics which control the suspension was slightly damp, so dried it off and so far touch wood no more binging  thanks to all that had replied to help me
  17. Thanks for replying Randombloke, I had nothing on the seats as always put bags etc on the floor in the footwell of the passenger side. We thought it might be the seat belt so when we were travelling I asked my passenger to unplug, just to see if it was the problem and the bing or ding didn't come on, so he plugged back in and after 5 minutes or so the bing started again, It seems to start when the car has been going for 10 minutes (just as the engine has warmed up)!! I don't know if it has anything to do with the radio as the CD doesn't seem to want to register the CD, (only when it feels like it) I have only had the car for a few months and find it very frustrating :(
  18. Nothing has come on the dashboard it bings about 13 times at a time then goes off for about 1km then bings again, thought it might have been TM so pushed buttons for manual opperation so she would stop talking saying I need to renew membership. Have been into the menu selection and nothing sems to be wrong. The mechanic has told me it is not dangerous but very annoying!!
  19. Hi New to the forum, can anyone help I have a C5 HDI LX 2001 Diesel.
